Welcome to the Southern England Wadokai Academy's web site. The Academy is run by Sensei Nick Davis, who has been teaching and training under the strict guidance of the Japanese for over 20 years.

Wado-Ryu Karate is a relatively modern form of Karate which was founded by Hironori Ohtsuka in 1934. Wado-Ryu is a blend of Okinawan karate and Japanese Jujutsu and is a superb way to learn self defence and get fit at the same time.

The Southern England Wadokai Academy runs specialist Karate and self defence clubs full time in and around Sussex, for students of all age groups.

Southern England Wadokai Academy specialises in teaching children from the age of 5 years onwards, and we also cater for children with learning difficulties. We offer structured Karate and self defence classes in the Chichester, Bognor and Midhurst region of Sussex, as well as private tuition available as one-on-one or small group sessions.

Southern England Wadokai Academy is fully registered and insured under: Karate England, Martins Insurance, Japanese Karate Federation and the Alliance of International Wado-Ryu.

All our instructors are fully C.R.B police checked and hold full coaching licenses.
